Adult Basic Education (ABE) provides reading, writing, and math instruction for adults functioning below the 9th grade level. Instruction is often contextualized around the interests of the students and/or the high demand jobs in the area.
Adult Secondary Education (ASE) provides adult high school and GED® classes to enable adults to acquire their secondary diploma or equivalent. Instruction is often integrated with occupational training leading to certification in a high demand job sector. Transition to postsecondary and/or employment is emphasized.
