Hawaii Adult Community School Diploma

McKinley Community School for Adults offers adult learners who have not graduated with a high school diploma, the option to pursue obtaining a High School Equivalency Credential and/or Hawaii Adult Community School Diploma. We offer two recognized High School Equivalency Tests, the General Educational Development (GED) and the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET). Both are aligned to national Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS).
(Exceptions to Compulsory Education, Form 4140 required for those below age 18)
 
GED® Test Method:
1. The applicant must pass the 2014 GED test with a minimum score of 145 on each test subject and
2. The applicant must have successfully completed at least one semester of high school work at an accredited Hawaii private or public school or a community school for adults in Hawaii
HiSET Exam Method:
1.  The applicant must pass the HiSET exam with a total scaled score of at least 45 out of 100 on all five subtests and
2. The applicant must have successfully completed at least one semester of high school work at an accredited Hawaii private or public school or a community school for adults in Hawaii
